Ian Scott International are delighted to announce, that we have acquired the Matthew Williamson store on Bruton Street, Mayfair, on behalf of our clients (International fashion brand) Paul & Joe. The store has been occupied since 2003 by Matthew Williamson, who were one of the pioneering brands to transform Bruton Street into a luxury fashion street. The shop occupies an excellent position in the centre of Bruton Street, just to the west of Stella McCartney, between Isabel Marant and Alice Temperley, with a total floor area of 3,315 square feet.
We successfully secured an off-market assignment of the existing lease at a passing rent of £295,000 per annum. An undisclosed 7 figure premium was negotiated to secure the lease.
For our clients Paul & Joe, this represents a dramatic step back into the forefront of prime Central London retail, having had to close their Sloane Street store due to redevelopment. The intention is to transform the current space into a Global flagship for the brand.
