Qatar Holdings, the new owner’s of this world famous department store, have announced a multi-million pound refurbishment of their flagship premises in Knightsbridge. After acquiring the luxury store for £1.5bn in 2010, they are set to invest a substantial sum on extravagant upgrades to the interior of the store. The revamp centres around a new escalator inspired by Harrod’s historic architecture, and a chandelier designed by Dale Chihuly, the American glass sculptor.
